RDW mileage assessment: Logisch, Onlogisch and Geen oordeel

A Dutch plate check can show a mileage assessment. That short label is not a complete list of odometer readings, and it is not a vehicle inspection.

Read the label without upgrading its meaning

Logisch means the recorded series is considered consistent. Onlogisch flags an inconsistent sequence. Geen oordeel means RDW does not give a judgement. Read the explanation for that vehicle; do not automatically turn “no judgement” into “fraud”.

An imported car needs context

Missing information can limit an assessment. RDW documents several reasons for having no judgement. Check the first registration date against the first Dutch registration date, then inspect the vehicle-specific explanation and supporting records. A date difference alone does not prove damage or fraud.

The public field is not the full report

The owner can obtain an RDW vehicle report and share it. A separate RDW online mileage check asks for both the plate and the current reading. Carfect’s public lookup does not perform that reading-specific check and does not display a complete mileage series.

Make two cars comparable

Use the same evidence standard for both candidates: the public assessment, the owner-provided report and dated maintenance documents. A consistent label on one car and missing records on another are different levels of evidence; they do not produce a trustworthy numerical risk score.

Your next steps

  • Read the exact assessment and its explanation.
  • Ask for an owner-shared vehicle report.
  • Compare dated maintenance records with the displayed reading.
  • Use RDW’s reading-specific service if checking a supplied reading.
